The sprawling forest south of Mountain Shadow is called the Fell Wood by the townsfolk, and the Blood Wood by its denizens.
The Blood Wood is a massive and ancient forest covering the northest border of Olivantia. Somewhere deep within the forest lies an area known as The Brink, and within the Brink is the Tree of Blood itself.
Many vampires, both human and animal, come out of the forest and terrorize the cities of Olivantia. No one knows where they come from, but a few suspect a connection to the Tree of Blood.
The Blood Wood is home to two very different inhabitants. The first call themselves the Eleven Tribes of the Na’Elfen. They are a feral group of Elfen who consider the Tree to be sacred, and their entire culture is an extension of this belief.
The second group is the summoners themselves. After fleeing Olivantia they re-established a power base in the forest, and all eleven council members have a stronghold somewhere in the forest.
