Rakarian’s Manor

Overview

Rakarian’s manor was built as a gift to him when he came of age.  The valley itself is the closest to the Fell Wood and was a private preserve belonging to Olivanticus.

He used Mountain Shadow to create shamblers, and brutally oppressed the town for generations.  When he gave it to his son, he also created the manor to serve as a seat of power.  It took two hundred Shamblers nearly a year to construct, and all supporting structures are made from black marble.

Features outside the Manor proper

The Crypt- Oli built his son a crypt not as a place to store family ancestors, but as a holding area for powerful undead he bound to serve his son.  The Crypt guardian can awake a small army that will defend the manor in the event of an assault.

This could have saved Rak’s life during the NoBB, but he eschewed the ways of his people and vowed not to use the dark tools provided by his father.

Cha’Nala- Every Binder has a sanctum in which to perform their Binding rituals.  Rak’s sanctum is a large squat rectangular building carved completely of black marble.  No one has been inside since before the NoBB.

Kada’Vel- In his younger days Rak loved dueling, and used his circle often.  Later in life he stopped using it, and it’s currently being used as a garden by Leah.  The circle itself still stands, and keeps itself magically free of debris and obstructions.

Stable- Rak’s stable has a dozen stalls and a large corral outside for them to graze in.  Harl own’s a good half dozen horses, which is down from the full dozen he owned before he fell on hard times.  Everett takes care of the stables in addition to his smithing duties.
