This page explains the various terms that I use in my world.
Cha’Nala- The Cha’Nala is a Binder’s sanctum and often contains a Cha’Gara. The Cha’Nala is where the most powerful bindings are performed, and is the mark of a true Binder.
Cha’Gara- The Cha’Gara is the stone of binding that resides within a Cha’Nala. Cha’Gara, or Gara as they are sometimes called, are created when a Binder invests part of himself into a sacred stone.
These stones grow in strength over time so the older one is the more powerful it is. Because they are intelligent and retain some part of their creator these stones have their own agendas, and often strive to seize control of their masters.
Cha’de’Nahri- The Cha’de’Nahri is the formal garb the wife of a Binder wears. It’s the hawt outfit Kera wears, and has been in use since the earliest days of Olivanticus’ reign.
Chal’Kora- A Chal’Kora is a staff of immense power made from blood yew and capped by Enurian steel. Only twenty-one were ever made, and each belongs to a member of the greater council.
Cold Fury- Adepts with an affinity for Fire are prone to bursts of emotion, particularly rage. This fury makes them unpredictable, but it also gives them a strength to their magic that many other aspects lack. The Cold Fury is the result of unique training given to Fire aspects. It allows them to harness the strength of their fury, but to remain cool and detached instead of giving in to the anger.
Empyrean- The realm where the gods / stewards are reputed to dwell. It is a mythical realm that lies outside the great cycle, but not in the void.
Fellspawn / Felltouched- The Fellspawn / Fell Touched are any animals or people that have been overwhlemed by the thirst. They attack anything living in an attempt to drink its blood. Also known as the consumed.
Grindolan- A big nasty faespawn spider found in western Olivantia and occasionally in southern Hasra.
Kada’Vel- the Kada’Vel is also known as a dueling circle. It was created by Olivanticus not long after he formed the first council as a means for Binders to settle their disputes without waging all out war.
Redstone- Brick
Rigby’s- A type of dark ale exported from the capital of Olivantia, and highly prized throughout the nation.
Specter- How is this different from a ghost? Need to work on this.
