Festival of Liberation

The festival of Liberation is celebrated each year to commemorate the Night of Black Blood and the victory over the binders.  The village begins with a few hours of prayer in the temple of Dalanthar, and then has dancing and a feast.

Some of the more enterprising merchants in town set up a few games of chance, and the celebration lasts all day.

Samhain / All Hallows Eve

This one needs some work.  I’m thinking that one night during the year the veil between the spirit world and the normal world is thinner than normal.  The citizens wear masks to hide their face from ancestors that might come back, as legend says they often dragged loved ones back to the spirit world.

Many people make little hollow clay effigies much like jack-o-lanterns though I need a name for what they are.  Also, are there any other parts to the festival?  A dance or something the village might do together?
