Taban- Dedicated of Aelianna
Taban is in his mid twenties. He was too young to fight in the purge or the war that followed, but he was old enough to see the devestation it caused. The loss of life horrified him. Everywhere he looked he saw suffering and pain.
Most young men his age wanted to join the Knighthood and adopted the Steward Dalanthar as their patron. Taban chose a different path. He hated the violence, death and destruction. He’d seen people die of sickness, disease, starvation and of course by violence.
At the age of 12 Taban took his vows and became a dedicated of Aelianna, the Stewardess of healing. His natural intelligence and drive to learn catapulted him beyond the other acolytes, and by the age of fifteen he was ordained as a full dedicated, the youngest in two centuries.
It wasn’t just his natural intelligence that allowed such rapid progression. Taban was a chanter with the potential to be one of the most powerful healers in a generation. He is unaware of his full potential, though he does know that he has excelled through the ranks far more quickly than his peers.
Taban is soft spoken and very introspective. He enjoys reading, learning and practicing the art of healing. Saving lives is like breathing to him, something natural that he does without thinking.
Taban wears glasses and is near sighted. Combined with the white and scarlet robes of Aelianna it gives him a monkish / scholarly appearance that is definitely accurate. He has short curly blond hair and a slight frame, but is handsome despite the scholarly look.
Taban began his ‘wandering’ (something dedicated of Aelianna do) five years ago. Dedicated wander the land tending the sick, healing wounds and helping those in need. He has just completed the wandering and is on his way back to Reverian to the main temple.
Taban has been out of touch with the main temple during his wanderings, though he has been to some of the more isolated temples during his travels.
